Rolfe Betterment INC. joins "The Iowa Weatherization Challenge" |
to help low-income families, the elderly, and disabled Iowans make their homes more energy efficient. As Iowans prepare to face high home heating bills this winter, RBI is recruiting volunteers and seeking donations to help weatherize homes for low-income families, the elderly and disabled individuals in the local area. This effort is part of The Weatherization Challenge, which is a statewide initiative coordinated by the Iowa Utilities Board that is an important priority of Gov. Chet Culver. "The Iowa Weatherization Challenge provides a perfect opportunity for Iowans to help their neighbors needing assistance to prepare their homes for the winter heating season," said Governor Culver. "With a minimal amount of time, effort, and expense, local community organizations and their volunteers can directly improve people's lives by increasing their comfort and safety while lowering their energy bills. The cumulative impact of saving energy also benefits everyone more than many people realize."
